La Villa Lodge – Week 9
Feb 26-Mar 5, 2022
Great week , the fishing was very good,two guest from England,two from USA and two from Scotland, made a very interesting group.
The fishing was active this week, we was fishing a lot with floating and intermediate lines, in some deeps pools fishing with nymph and sinking lines.
Sunray shadow was the best fly in the week, used with floating, intermediate and even with sinking lines, most of the time striping in slow.
We recommend at list 2 rods, 1 with floating ( scandi) and the other one with sinking lines( skagit).
We found more fish than previous weeks in the upper part of the river.
133 fish were landed, 24 fish over 15 pounds, 3 fish over 20 pounds , Average catches per person 22 fish.
Michael graham was top rod of the week. Michael Graham, mark broderson and brad winstrom landed the biggest fish, 20lbs.
Water Conditions
Water color and visibility: clear, on Friday got dirty.
Water temperature: 6 c to 13 c.
Water level: low.
Weather Conditions
Wind speed ranges through the week:the wind was not strong.
Air temperature ranges through the week: 0c to 16c.
Wheather observations (sun, rain, fog, etc.): We had some rains .
Fishing Conditions
Flies that are working the best:salmon flies size 8,10, tube flies ( monkey, sunray shadows), nymph ( emb, prince, tdf prince ,red tail) , green machine,Big flies for the last hour: big tube flies, leeches, intruders. Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities, etc) that are producing the best: Skagit heads with different lengths of T-17,14,11. Scandi lines with intermediate poly leaders. Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 6 to 12 feet. 12 to 15 pounds. La Villa Lodge – Week 10
Mar 5-12, 2022
Another week ending in la villa,fishing was difficult, we had the river high and dirty all week. We fished with sinking lines and big flies all week.
Intruders and leeches were the best flies in the week.
We recomend at list 2 rods, 1 with floating ( scandi) and the other one with sinking lines( skagit).
We found more fish than previous weeks in the upper part of the river.
88 fish were landed, 14 fish over 15 pounds, Average catches per person 14,5 fish. Virginia Goodyear was top rod of the week with 22 fish.

Water color and visibility: dirty all week.
Water temperature: 5c to 11 c.
Water level: high.
Weather Conditions

Air temperature ranges through the week: 3 c to 15 c.

Fishing Conditions
Flies that are working the best: intruders, leech, big tubes flies.

Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 6 to 9 feet. 15 to 20 pounds.
Lower and middle part of the river is the best, we start to see more
fish in the upper part of the river.
We started to catch more dark fish.

La Villa Lodge – Week 11
Mar 12-19, 2022
Rain all week, the river high and dirty, made fishing very difficult. We fished with sinking lines and big flies all week, sometimes 2 flies together, and with heavy sink tips.that made casting difficult. Intruders, tubes and leeches were the best flies in the week. We recomend at list 2 rods, 1 with floating ( scandi) and the other one with sinking lines( skagit). the upper part of the river have a lot of fish. We didn’t have good sessions in big pools, we found fish in low waters. 48 fish were landed, 10 fish over 15 pounds, 2 fish over 20 pounds ,Average catches per person 8 fish.
Johann birgisson was top rod of the week with the biggest fish, 22 pounds.

La Villa Lodge – Week 12
Mar 19-26, 2022
Great fishing at la villa, first half of the week we fish with sinking lines and big flies, the second half the river started to clean up and we used floating lines with tubes.
It was a very fun week, it is a group than we really enjoyed having here. tubesflies (sunray, monkey, samurai) were the best flies in the week. We recomend at list 2 rods, 1 with floating ( scandi) and the other one with sinking lines( skagit).
the upper part of the river have a lot of fish.
162 fish were landed, 17 fish over 15 pounds, Average catches per
person 23 fish.
Lionel young was top rod of the week.
Aidan birkett got the biggest fish, 18 pounds.

started cleaning.

La Villa Lodge – Week 13

Great way for finish the season, very good fishing at la villa, the river was high and clear , we was using sinking lines and tubesflies.
Dead drifting tubes was the best way to get the fish.
Many fresh fish are in the river.
tubesflies (sunray, monkey) were the best flies in the week.
We recomend at list 2 rods, 1 with floating ( scandi) and the other one with sinking lines( skagit).|
the upper part of the river have a lot of fish.
128 fish were landed, 12 fish over 15 pounds
Average catches per person 21 fish.
David crerar was top rod of the week.
David mateer got the biggest fish, 19 pounds.
