Week 2

Week 2 is over. We had the visit of some friends from United States, England, France, Germany and Brazil. Fishing on the Rio Grande was very difficult some sessions but ok. The weather was very unstable. A lot of rain at the beginning of the week, which made the river rise and dirty again.
Water Conditions
Water color and visibility: At the beginning of the week the river was dropping down an clearing up. On Monday we had a very heavy rain, so the Rio Grande and its tributaries raised and got dirty again.
Water temperature: 7° C and 14° C
Water level and amount of increase or decrease through the week: Water level went up 5 inches by Wednesday and started to drop down next day.
Weather Conditions
Wind speed ranges through the week: It was windy this week. 0 to 80 kmh
Air temperature ranges through the week: 5°C to 17°C
Fishing Conditions
Flies that are working the best: : We fished mostly big flies this week, like sunray shadow, monkey, colie dog. We used also EMB, yuk bug, black wooly buggers leeches and intruders.
In some places floating lines and sunray shadow worked great, depending on water conditions.
Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities, etc) that are producing the best: We used everything between floating and 15 feet of T-20.
Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 4 to 12 feet. 15 to 20 pounds.

Number of anglers for the week: 10
Total number of fish landed for the week: 97
Weight of the biggest fish landed for the week: 20 pounds
Number of fish landed over 15 pounds: 15
